Horse riding adventure
M was invited to a birthday party today for one of her classmates and we had a blast. There was a hayride, a herd of cows chasing the hayride for the hay, hot dogs, bounce houses, slides, swings, a tree house and even horse rides. The kids ran for 2 hrs straight and were grinning and giggling the entire time. N jumped at the chance to ride the horse and M quickly followed suit not to be shown up by her younger brother in front of her friends. They both loved it and were so excited to be on the horse. Guess what N thought that the horse's name was? Bingo, of course. Every horse he owns is named "Bingo." We don't know where this came from. M was excited to find out that the horse was named "Princess." It was fun to be had by all and a great experience. I wish I would have taken more pics but I was not prepared so here is what we got...

Ski vacation
We just returned from a wonderful ski trip, taking the kids for the very first time. M was enrolled in ski school and excited about it until we got to the school at which time she became very nervous and shy. She did not like the first day and we laughed because her bedtime prayer went a little something like, "Dear Jesus, I don't want to go to ski school for that long tomorrow, because they make me do it 10 times and I only want to ski down 5 times." Would you believe that that baby woke up with fever at 2am and skipped ski school for 1 day. I guess in some ways she got her answer, but fear not because we enrolled her the next day to finish her lesson after the fever was over. Ski schools do not like to give refunds and when Chris told them she had fever they actually said, "well, have you tried motrin and tylenol?" Come on folks! We have done this before is what I wanted to say! Anyway, after tears and fears Chris took M down the mountain with him. I was a nervous Mom but she did great and excelled in ski school according to her teachers. Chris said as they were coming down the mountain M was yelling, "faster daddy, faster" and "I love skiing" which made her Daddy so proud thinking that someone in the family will ski with him in the coming years since I gave it up a few years ago fearing I would injure an innocent child. Here are some photos.
